Christmas Party and Silent Auction
Are you doing your part to make this year's annual Christmas Party and Silent Auction a tremendous success by collecting auction items and inviting your friends and family to attend the festivities with you?
The dinner party and auction will be held on Saturday, December 12 at the University Club featuring the MPD Peacemakers as our after-dinner entertainment. The MPD Peacemakers is a quartet of the finest singing voices in the Memphis police department.
The December Silent Auction is one of two major fund-raisers in the year. When you collect auction items you are helping to ensure another successful year to support the Memphis Central Club's Scholarship fund. We are soliciting items in all price ranges, so please donate items yourself and collect more from friends or people you do business with.
Wouldn't it be terrific if every one of the members in our club would donate at least one item for this year's Silent Auction? All price ranges will be gratefully accepted. Please direct any questions or comments to Jim Crone, chair for the event.
Floyd’s Fund winner's pot
The pot is standing at $287.00 as we go into ticket sales for this week's raffle. Last week on Nov. 6 Randolph Reeves held the winning ticket --- and drew the three of spades--- another losing card. The Queen of Hearts is what we are all looking for and the lady continues to elude the draw. There are now 42 cards remaining in the deck which makes for better odds of drawing the Queen of Hearts.

Thanks and a tip of the hat to Michael Smith, Rotary Zone official, who visited our club last week with Dick Wieland and gave an impromptu yet informative five-minute presentation about the Rotary Foundation.
