11:45 a.m. – Chickasaw Country club:    Dorothy Cox, president & CEO of Community Mentoring Outreach Services (CMOS).                                                                                  
Community Outreach Services (CMOS) is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to help others help themselves.  CMOS is active in the Hollywood and Hyde Park communities.  Learn how CMOS has made many improvements to the community, including dramatically reducing the litter problem, strengthening the neighborhood association and beefing up code enforcement.

Future meetings

11/10/06 -11:45 a.m. – Off site meeting – a tour of the Paul Barrett, Jr. Library at Rhodes College.  The tour will be conducted by Bill Short, the library’s coordinator of public services.
11/17/06 – 11:45 a.m. – Chickasaw Country Club:   Jeni Thompson, director of marketing and development at Memphis Bioworks Foundation.
11/24/06:  No meeting.  Happy Thanksgiving weekend!

Coming events – mark your calendars now

Saturday evening, December 16, our annual Christmas Party and Silent Auction will be held at the Buckman Performing Arts Centre.  More information is scheduled to come very soon from the party and auction chair, Bill Eddings and his committee.

Sunday afternoon, March 25, 2007 – world renowned pianist Richard Dowling in concert at the Germantown Performing Arts Centre.  Tickets are only $28.00 per person for this amazing 90 minute concert featuring both classical and ragtime/jazz pieces.  This is a new fund-raising event on our club’s calendar.  Bill Matthews is chair of the event.
