Today’s meeting
11:45 a.m. Chickasaw Country Club, Linda Walter, Regency Travel. The program focuses on the United States’ historic relationship with France.  We’ll also learn about France’s various regions with a specific look at Normandy.  Ray Darby, program coordinator.

Linda Walter has been a travel planner for 15 years following a 16-year career as a biology teacher.  Her last teaching assignment was seven years’ tenure at the Hutchison School.  Linda’s community affiliations include the Junior League, Les Passes and the Women’s Exchange.

Last week’s meeting
President Jim Crone welcomed us to the 1481st h meeting of the Rotary Club of Memphis Central.  

Beth Dixon, president and CEO of the Rise Foundation, shared information about the foundation.  The RISE Foundation is one of several organizations the Community Foundation of Greater Memphis has helped establish. RISE was formed as a part of the Community Foundation to help public housing residents attain financial independence.
