We extend our sympathy to Karen Shea and her family upon the death of Karen's granddaughter, Caroline Hope Turns.
Caroline passed away earlier this week (June 22) after courageously battling cancer for some time.
Memorial services for Caroline will be held on Monday, June 29th at 10:00a.m.at Grace St Luke's Church in midtown Memphis. The address is 1720 Peabody Avenue, Memphis, TN 38104 Phone: 901.272.7425
Born on November 19, 1999, Caroline was diagnosed with pancreatoblastoma, and doctors at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, Florida performed a multivisceral transplant on June 6, 2008. Sadly, Caroline passed away on June 22, 2009.
I would like to share this beautiful poem that was included in the program for a funeral service I attended recently. (Editor: Jean Patterson)
God's Garden Must be Beautiful
God looked around the garden,
and found an empty space.
He looked down upon the earth,
and saw your tired face.
He put His arms around you,
and lifted you to rest.
God's garden must be beautiful,
for He only takes the best.
He knew that you were weary,
And He knew you were in pain.
He knew that you would never
be well on earth again,
He saw the roads were getting rough,
and the hills were heard to climb.
So He closed your weary eyelids,
and whispered, “Peace be thine”.Club members celebrating June birthdays
