This important event at our adopted school will take place on Tuesday evening, April 25 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.in the school gym.  Linda Williams, school administrator, tells us that the gym will be filled with booths representing each department (English, history, mathematics, etc.). Student work will also be displayed.  This is both an informative and fun event including entertainment and door prizes.  All members of our Rotary club are invited!

Ms. Williams has asked our club members to donate door prizes or give away items (pens, pencils, notepads, post-it notes are some examples) to place in the booths.  If you or your company can make a contribution, please contact Carlton Smith @ 690-1203 or  agora123@midsouth.rr.com.   If you can help, please get in touch with Carlton by close of business on Monday, April 24.

A message from our District Governor
As of this date, we have not received any applications for the Ambassadorial Scholarships for the 2005-2006 Rotary year.
As most of you know, every year our district selects two prospective students to go abroad for higher education.  Most of these scholarships are for the period of one academic year and are worth approximately $26,000.
The District Scholarships committee would like to get as many qualified applicants as possible.  If you know somebody who is interested in applying for the scholarship, please let me know.  I will be happy to send them the application form.  They can also download the application from the RI website.
For more information contact George Rosentreter, Committee Chair - Ambassadorial Scholarships.
