A Fun Day and a Fund Day

June 2, a Fun Day and a Fund Day, is closer than you think Why Fun? Because it’s a day of playing golf with members and friends. Why Fund? Because all the money raised will be used for our Scholarship Fund to help deserving youngsters make their way to the college of their choice. The Fun-Fund event will take place at the Fox Meadows Golf Course. Tournament Chairman Bert Canfield is planning to have two flights if the field is large enough.

Golf tournaments don’t just happen. Everybody has to get into the spirit. You golfers should already be signing up to play – Bill Matthews has the applications all ready for you. But that’s not all – you should be rounding up your friends and be getting them to sign up as well. It’s an easy sell – good golf, fine prizes and great hospitality. Oh yes – and lots of ice cream, thanks to Dave Luiken. The entry fee is $125, and that includes mulligans.

Not playing doesn’t get you off the hook. Every hole needs a sponsor – sponsorship is a great way for the non-golfers to help out. And there’s lots of work to be done in the background. Volunteer to help make the tournament run smoothly. Jeff Jones once again is handling the sponsorships.
