The 2009 Rotary District conference will be held in Memphis on April 23-25 at the Double Tree Hotel in downtown Memphis adjacent to the Peabody Hotel. DG King invited everyone to the conference and said he is asking all Shelby County Rotary clubs who have regular meetings during the conference to suspend their meetings so that all area Rotarians will have an opportunity to attend the District Conference.

Flyers promoting the District Conference will be available at today’s meeting.

Thank you e-mail to Lt. Col. Spencer from Jerry Daws (Rotary) and Jim VanEynde (AFA)
LTC Spencer, on behalf of the members of Memphis Central Rotary Club & E.R. Cook chapter of AFA, we want to thank you and all of your associates for the very successful joint meeting at the ANG on March 27th. We had almost 100 folks in attendance and heard many very complimentary remarks on how well everything was handled. They all enjoyed the briefing by Col. Jobe & the bus tour given by LTC Ruger. Both of these activities were done in a very efficient & professional manner!

You folks have a wonderful facility out there and we old timers who were members of ANG way back in the golden olden days will have to get used to those new buildings and the big C-5. We hope to visit again from time to time and look forward to seeing all of you soon.

Again, we appreciate all the help and cooperation from everyone. Please pass this message on to all the other members who helped make the event so great.

Best regards to all,
Jerry Daws (Rotary) & Jim VanEynde (AFA)

None – how about inviting someone with an April birthday to attend----and join our club? We could add their name to our birthday list! (And fill in this blank!)
